Pengertian Mandi Wajib
Dr. Sa’id bin ‘Ali bin Wahf Al_Qahthani dalam kitabThuhuru Al_Muslimi fi Dhau’i Al_Kitabi wa As_Sunnati Mafhumun wa Fadhailu wa Adabun wa Ahkamun mengatakan bahwa yang dimaksud mandi disini adalah mandi wajib, yaitu mandi junub dan mandi setelah bersih dari haidh maupun nifas.
Mandi artinya menyiramkan air ke seluruh tubuh. Mandi wajib dalam pengertian syara adalah meratakan air ke seluruh tubuh untuk menghilangkan hadats besar dengan disertai niat menghilangkan hadats besar tersebut. Perbedaan antara mandi wajib (mandi junub) dengan mandi yang biasa dilakukan sehari-hari terletak pada niatnya.
